The TPK Team
Mr Wikus Botha Acting Headteacher
I trained and qualified from Midlands Christian Training Centre in Zimbabwe, graduating Cum Laude and simultaneously completing my BA Degree in History and English from UNISA. I completed extra accreditations with CIE for coursework in these same subjects. I have worked in both primary and secondary schools, teaching up to Cambridge ‘O’ Level. I love sport and music and have had the privilege to have coached and travelled with numerous teams. I have also been a headmaster of a small private school for just over three years. I am currently in my ninth year of teaching and TPK is my third posting.
I firmly believe that education is not an insulated process that merely deals with academic or any other single skill’s development in a person. Rather, education has to be the process that helps shape a life, in order to deal with and succeed in life, and after, leaving behind something meaningful for those that follow. Not only do morals play an integral part in this, but we need to be able to form lasting relationships that truly impact those around us for good.
After all, “No one cares how much you know unless they know how much you care.” How different our world and society would be if we could really care for each other.
As a student, I vowed never to return to school once I left. The irony is that the career that filled me with passion, excitement and a rewarding sense of achievement was right back where I thought I didn’t want to be!
I have been blessed to grow up and work under the African sun. I have a loving wife of almost ten years and together we have three energetic children. In my spare time I love playing sport, playing drums or guitar. I have a real passion for teaching and look forward to see where it will lead me in the future.
Mr Brian Nyabvure PE Teacher
I studied Sports Management with Boston City Campus in South Africa. I completed my cricket studies in Zimbabwe and I am a Level 2 coach with the Zimbabwe Cricket Union. After completing my cricket courses I went on to do my rugby studies and qualified as an IRB Level 2 Rugby Coach. Football was a sport I had played for years and as a result I was fortunate enough to go and study it in Manchester, England. I studied Football Fitness, Match Analysis and I am a qualified FA Coach with a valid coaching licence. As a Physical Education teacher and Sports Coach I have eleven years of experience working at a private boarding school in Zimbabwe.
I believe that any pupil can be the best at what they want to achieve if they put their mind to it and are surrounded by people who believe in them. My aim for all my pupils is to ensure sport plays a part in developing the whole child.
Apart from coaching, I was a dorm master for senior boys at a private boarding school. During my high school holidays I worked at a law firm as a personal assistant, lodging documents.

My personal goal is to challenge students and promote learning through play. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a stimulating and secure atmosphere. My desire is to help students meet their fullest potential. I hope to instill a love of learning in my students. I believe that teaching is a lifelong learning process of learning from colleagues, parents, the community and especially learning from the children. Laughter and fun whilst learning is important to me.
I have a husband and two sons. I am passionate about making a difference in children’s lives. I believe in flexible, fun learning. I love reading, cooking, going for walks outdoors and spending time with my family. I enjoy travelling and seeing the world with my husband and sons.
Miss Chibwe Chungu Teacher Assistant
Mr Anthony Fouché Estate Manager
I was born in Kenya and soon thereafter my family moved to what was then Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe where I spent my younger years in a city called Bulawayo. After completing my schooling I attended the Zimbabwe School of Mines and qualified as a Mine Surveyor. Some years later after travelling overseas I decided to follow my passion and moved to the safari business, where I spent the next 18 most enjoyable years building and managing camps and lodges and guiding in some of the wildest and beautiful places in Africa: Hwange National Park, Mana Pools, Okavango Delta and Lower Zambezi National Park.
I am a holder of Zimbabwe Professional Guides licence and Zambian Full Guides licence for Lower Zambezi, where I have been involved in guide training and examining. We have lived in Zambia for 13 years where both my children were born in Lusaka. Prior to moving up to Kalumbila in August 2014 with my two children, Hannah and Benjamin, and our menagerie of dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, I operated my own game culling, venison and biltong business out of Lusaka for two years.
My position in Educore is that of Estate Manager for the three Kalumbila schools: Trident Prep, Sentinel and Nkisu, and the maintenance of the teachers’ housing. I’m also involved with establishing fields and gardens, and liaising with various persons in FQML to develop the school facilities. I am assisted by the very capable Ruddy Mukaro and Mpandika Phiri, who were with me in the Zambezi Valley for many years, who also help in making the lives of Educore employees in Kalumbila as comfortable as possible.
My passions are wildlife and nature and traveling with my children to beautiful and interesting places.
I live by the saying “IT IS BETTER TO LIGHT A CANDLE THAN CURSE THE DARKNESS”

I am a person who believes in continuous improvement and that there will always be a better way of doing what we do today. I believe in total commitment to everything that I do as this determines the outcome of our actions.
